| Welcome to the official thread of the Utah Jazz on ISBA #Reboot. Gordon Hayward leads the Jazz scoring attack on #Reboot I want to thank the fans for making my Brooklyn Nets thread the most viewed team thread on the previous OA. It means a lot, etc. The Jazz are a new challenge for me and I'm excited about it. This team doesn't have any superstars but they have a lot of good role players, cap flexibility, and heart. I will make changes to this roster going forward (within the trade rules, of course) but I really love the core of this team. We'll also be adopting a new offense this time around. I'm also ditching the hockey cam this time and will try the press cam or whatever it's called. That will factor in with some of the personnel decisions we make. Let's take a closer look at the roster: Mo Williams: Possibly will be traded to Vince and the Heat if the right deal comes along. Otherwise, I'll keep the midget. Gordon Hayward: Good young prospect. He's white and this is Salt Lake City. He ain't going nowhere. He'll receive the max at the first opportunity. Marvin Williams:You look at his ratings and you look at his body and you think he'd be good. Then you watch him play and realize there's not much there. In the right system he could excel. I'm not sure Utah is the right system. Paul Millsap: Great character guy and one of the most undervalued PF's in the NBA. His contract is expiring and a tough decision will need to be made. Really solid player and should excel here. Al Jefferson:Big Al is also in the final year of his contract and once again, a tough decision will need to be made. He's one of the best offensive bigs in the league but his defense and passing leaves some fans scratching their heads. He fits the system well but will he be extended? Time will tell. Jamaal Tinsley:My boy, JT is here to stay. Great backup PG with exceptional court vision and overrated shooting attributes courtesy of 2k13. Alec Burks: The young man from Colorado will see plenty of playing time under my watch. He's a dynamic scorer but needs to continue to develop his outside shot and defense. He will enjoy playing for me Derrick Favors: You talk about potential, this guy has it. One of the great prospects in the NBA currently. Elite defender but needs to develop more of his offensive game. Time is one his side. I can't imagine him being traded but never say never. Randy Foye: Good value player off the bench. Only on a 1 year contract for under 3 million. Solid defender and 3 pt shooter. He'll get minutes. Earl Watson: Likely will get cut. Good looking guy though. Jeremy Evans: The reigning slam dunk champ is under contract for 2-3 years at a low salary so I'll probably keep the douche. Maybe he can develop into the next Jamarro Moon? DeMarre Carroll: Solid player but I'm not sure he's going to be around long. Raja Bell: He gave me a great contribution in Brooklyn and will likely do the same for me this time around. Good defender, nice shot release, etc. What more can you ask for? Enes Kanter: Beast. He's not the Turkish Hammer but damnit, he's a good player from Turkey. *I want to make a desperate plea before I go*Luka, I want to make a deal with you for Royce White. I'm open minded. Thank you for reading and let's have fun on #Reboot |

| Jazz Drop Season Opener to LakersThe upset bid fell short in the closing secondsGordon Hayward dunks on Kobe and tells him to shove it where the sun don't shineThe Utah Jazz #reboot debut was an unsuccessful one as the Jazz fell to the talented Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday night, 62-58 inside Energy Solutions Arena. The Jazz led most of the game but experienced some cold shooting in the 2nd half and in the end it cost them a chance to upset the new look Lakers. The Jazz were down 2 in the closing seconds and Mo Williams had an open three point shot at the top of the key that he proceeded to clank off the rim. Mo ended the game with 14pts and 9 assists but shot just 3-13 from the field. Hayward struggled to find his shot as well, shooting 4-12 and adding 10 pts and 5 rebs. Big Al and Millsap played fine down low but it wasn't enough. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SportsWe played fairly well all things considered. I don't have much experience with this team and to face Paul and Lakers right out of the box is extremely difficult. The fact we nearly beat them is somewhat surprising to me. We'll get this offense right with time and experience. We got more uptempo tonight and that needs to continue. We're in the process of trying to make the roster better but for now we'll do the best we can with what we have. Utah is currently 0-1 on the season |

| Jazz Daily: Trade TalkThe Jazz are active on the trade market and monitoring the free agent market closely. It was originally reported that Mo Williams would be headed to Miami but it appears the Heat don't wish to give up any of their good players so that deal appears a long shot unless a third team gets involved. Utah and Mo Williams haven't come to terms on an extension yetThe Jazz also expressed interest in troubled rookie Royce White. |

| Jazz 71 @ Denver 60An explosive 4th quarter propels the Jazz to victoryJeremy Evans provided a spark off the Jazz bench Friday afternoonThe Utah Jazz bounced back from their narrow loss to the Lakers last night by going on the road and beating the Denver Nuggets 71-60 in front of a sold out crowd in Pepsi Center. The Jazz shot over 50 percent from the field and mustered 21 points in the 4th to pull ahead for good. It was a bad sign for Denver when Marvin Williams came off the bench and hit 2 threes. When Marvin is playing well (one time per month) it's usually a good sign. Mo Williams redeemed himself after his choke job last night with 16 pts and 9 assists on good shooting percentage. Millsap added 10 pts and 10 rebs to pace the Jazz effort. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA Sports. Any time you go on the road and beat a human its a great win. This game appeared to be a sim loss waiting to happen but we seized the opportunity and stole a win. We caught Denver at a good time while they're in transition with the pending Bogut trade and McGee's head never seemed in the game as a result. Our guys responded well from the disappointment last night and I'm proud of them for that. Utah is currently 1-2 on the season with the loss to LA and the sim loss pending against GSW. |

| Detroit 91 @ Utah 84 F/OTJazz fall to 1-3 on the seasonThe Jazz were a step slow on Friday against the explosive Pistons offenseThe Utah Jazz fell to the Detroit Pistons at home 91-84 in overtime. The Jazz trailed by double figures with 5 minutes to go but made a run and forced the game into OT. In OT the explosive Pistons took over and won the game. The Pistons were faster and better than Utah all night, scoring 58 points in the paint and having 26 fast break points. Coach Bryan postgame comments, sponsored by EA SportsDetroit was great tonight. They really killed us in the paint and on the fast break, despite the fact our coach profile setting were set properly. That's a fast team and a team who looks to be a legit title contender. Keep an eye out on the Pistons. We're 1-3 now and it appears we won't be able to beat CPU teams unless we play extremely chicken shit. I still like our chances in most human games. Keep the faith and keep improving. The Jazz will hit the hardwood again on Sunday. |

| Utah Jazz Weekend UpdateMo Williams is finding his groove in Utah this seasonThis was a big weekend for the Utah Jazz as several things happened on and off the floor. Let's take a look at the cliff notes: -Royce White acquired in a trade for Burks and KanterThis was a sentimental trade for me. I get Royce and give up two good young pieces in return. I still like the move for me since I'll have Favors, Hayward, and White as the future core. It still looks good to me, plus it makes the roster more fun. Royce's role likely won't expand until year 2 but he'll get plenty of time this season. I wish Kanter, Burks, and Luka's Rockets the best of luck with the new players. -Michael Redd signs a 1 year dealAfter losing Burks we needed another shooter. Mission accomplished. I would play Redd more than Burks this season anyway. Redd still has something left in the tank and we're glad to have him in Salt Lake City. -Mo Williams extension talks underwayThe Jazz and Mo Williams officially opened up a dialogue to sign the guard to an extension. Mo was rumored in trade talks with Miami but those talks have ended and the Jazz are progressing with extension talks. Even though Mo plays zero defense, he's a big time scorer and looks to be a valuable piece of the puzzle. Plus he's relatively inexpensive. - The Jazz finally beat a CPU teamSunday morning the Jazz woke up to play the Raptors before the game expired on the calendar and defeated them 82-66. Millsap and Mo Williams led the way. The game marked the debut of Redd and Royce with both playing about double digit minutes. Gordon Hayward missed the game with a sprained knee he suffered in a forced loss to GSW. He's expected back for the next Jazz game. The Jazz are currently 2-3 on the season. |

| Jazz Win Another GameSomehow, some way the Jazz beat another CPU teamRoyce White with the put back slam in the 2nd quarterThe Jazz went on the road and defeated the Charlotte Bobcats in convincing fashion on Sunday night. The win is the 3rd of the season for the Jazz and their most convincing one of the young season. Millsap continued his strong play with 27 points to lead the Jazz charge. Hayward returned from injury and scored double figures. Michael Redd came off the bench and hit five threes to give Utah a much needed boost from the outside. Royce White a decent stat line in 18 minutes of action off the bench. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SportsAny win for us is a good win. That's where we are right now. I thought Redd came in and played beautiful again. We decided to give Marvin Williams the start @ SF ahead of Raja Bell. We haven't been getting enough from Raja this season so a change was needed. Royce played well tonight and is starting to get comfortable out there. Mo did a nice job of feeding the post and stretching the defense with his shooting. Good win overall. The Jazz are 3-3 on the season. |

| Jazz Steal Road Win Over BostonAnother human win for the JazzRoyce White throws one down over Coach Bryan's idol, KGThe Utah Jazz took their act on the road and captured a critical road win in Boston by double digits. It was one of the first games by coach Envy so it was likely a good time to play Boston while they are still figuring things out. The Jazz fell behind 7-0 in the first 3 minutes of the game and coach Bryan called a timeout to rip into his players. The Jazz wound up leading 20-14 at the end of the first and never looked back. The scoring was balanced for the Jazz with 4 players in double figures, including recent signing Michael Redd, who had another strong game off the bench. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SportsPleased with the win overall. The start of the game was unacceptable. I'm not sure if we were star-struck by the Celtics or what but we looked rattled to start. We settled in and showed good patience on offense. The defense was also quite good to hold them under 50. A solid win over a human coach is always nice and something to build on. The Jazz are 4-3 on the season. |

| Utah Goes 1-1 on Tuesday against Texas teamsMichael Redd's late three seals the deal over the Spurs The Jazz opened the day with a narrow win @ San Antonio. The game was looking like a blow out but suddenly the Spurs went on a huge run in the 3rd quarter aided by 24 PIP out of their 29 points for the quarter. It was a two point lead with 6 minutes left but then the Jazz flexed their muscle and pulled away. Michael Redd hit a couple big threes and Millsap did work in the paint. In the night cap the Jazz fell at home to the Houston Rockets, 70-67. The Jazz found themselves down double figures in the 3rd quarter but stormed back in the fourth with some turnovers and hot shooting. The Jazz were down 3 with 10 seconds left and the ball and once again Mo Williams couldn't get it done in the clutch. The Rockets had a balanced attack and captured the win. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SPORTSInteresting two games for us today. We had the Spurs game well in hand but suddenly they wouldn't miss and it turned into a tight game. We pulled through and that's encouraging. The Houston game was frustrating because we struggled hitting shots in the first three quarters and we struggled to stop Houston quite frankly. Harden gives them a new dynamic and Lin played out of his mind. That's a good team when they are flowing on offense. We fought back and gave ourselves a chance in the end. The Jazz are 7-5 or 8-6 on the season. Not sure which one, etc. |

| Jazz Split a Pair of Human games Tuesday NightAnother heart breaker for the JazzMillsap carried the load in a victory over the SunsThe Jazz defeated the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday night by a score of 80-76 in Salt Lake City. Jazz big man Al Jefferson missed the game with a separated shoulder suffered in a sim loss to the Bulls earlier in the day. Paul Millsap carried the load in his absence and led the Jazz to victory with 21 points. Derrick Favors started at center and contributed 8 pts and 6 rebs while playing nearly the entire game. The game didn't register after the game so the stats on the console are off. Good times courtesy of 2k indeed. A win is a win though. In the night cap the Jazz traveled to Washington DC to tangle with Leroy and the Wizards. The game went back an forth with several lead changes but the Wiz closed on a run and stole the win by 2. In the final minute the Jazz had an offensive 3 second violation off the ball, a weird backcourt violation, and a missed jumper from Redd at the buzzer that would have tied it. All in all, a very frustrating and somewhat funny end to the evening. Coach Bryan postgame comments, sponsored by EA SPORTSIt was a good win over the Suns without Big Al in the middle. We're thin there as it is so to get a win without him is almost bonus. The game against the Wizards was frustrating. It was one of those games we didn't deserve to win but it looked like we were going to win anyway, only to have it taken away from us in controversial fashion. Those thing happen though. You play this game enough times, you get some BS to go against you and you get some to go your way. Leroy is obviously a superior coach to me so losing to him isn't the end of the world. We'll continue to work hard and not be discouraged. The Jazz are currently 8-7 on the season. |

| Jazz Win Two Games on WednesdayWins over the CPU Mavs and CavsRoyce shows emotion after scoring a transition basketThe Jazz defeated the Cavs by 18 in the first game of the day. Cold shooting seemed to doom the Cavs game plan as they were held under 40 percent from the field. It was a balanced attack for the Jazz once again with four players in double figures and Mo Williams dishing 8 assists. The second game against the Mavs was a testy one. The Mavs led early and often and built their lead to 10 points at one point in the 2nd quarter. The Jazz didn't panic and got their all-star candidate Paul Millsap going down low and that opened up the defense for some three point bombs. The Jazz would eventually build a 10 point lead with 2 minutes left and sneak out of downtown Dallas with the win. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SPORTSWe picked up another human win, which pleases me. We left no doubt in that one and that's good the way we've been in the clutch. The Mavs game was a big time challenge for us because the CPU seemed bound and determined to win that game. Sometimes the CPU lays down but this wasn't one of those games. We fought and found a way to win. That's all you can ask for. We've had a busy week playing so it will be nice to take the next day or two off to rest. The Jazz are 11-8 on the season. |

| Jazz Weekend UpdateRoyce White records a trip dub against the Raptors on Saturday. The Jazz have been off and on with their activity the last few days due to Thanksgiving but plenty has still happened recently. Earlier in the week the Jazz signed Jannero Pargo to a 10 day contract. Since then Jazz management decided to keep him for the remainder of the season. He's been in the rotation since joining the team and has taken pressure off Mo Williams and as a result his minutes have been limited slightly. On Friday the Jazz upset Portland in the Rose Garden. The game went to OT after a late comeback from the Blazers and a choke job by Mo Williams at the end of regulation. In OT the Blazers offense was held in check and Mo Williams made a clutch drive to the hoop in the final minute that caught the defense off guard to seal the win. The win over Ante was the first in a long time for Jazz coach, Bryan and it was a win that was celebrated all day and still into Saturday. Speaking of Saturday, the Jazz hit the road to play Toronto. The Raptors really struggled in the 2nd quarter, getting outscored 27-8 in that frame and the Jazz cruised to a victory. Royce White recorded another trip dub this season (see the pic above) with an outstanding performance to lead the Jazz. Coach Bryan comments, sponsored by EA SPORTSI'm proud of the victory over the Blazers yesterday. It was a game we deserved to win and we got it done in OT. Any time you beat Ante it feels great and when you lose to him it feels even worse than losing a normal game. In the Raptors game we came out swinging and never looked back. Our guys were ready to play and it showed. Royce did some great things out there, especially in the 3rd quarter when he seemed to wear the Raptors defense down. Congrats to him on the trip dub. The Jazz are 15-10 on the season I believe. We'll most likely look to play more games later tonight. |

| Millsap won't sign an extension but I like my chances of keeping him for a reasonable rate once free agency happens like last time I had him with Brooklyn.
Al Jefferson is ready to sign....for 14 mil per season and 4-5 years. I just can't see paying that. Marvin Williams piped up and said he's sign an extension today too. He has a player option for next year but after that he only wants 1.3 mil per year. It's going to be a tough decision whether to release him soon so I'm not on the hook for his 8.5 mil P/O next season or keep him and offer him that small extension.
Mo Williams claims he wants to sign an extension, yet turns down several solid offers. That will likely go into the summer but I'm still planning to bring him back. |

| It seems like if I sign Marvin Williams to an extension the 8.5 player option goes away and is replaced with the extension offer. If that's the case, I will lock him up.
I won't decide what to do with Big Al until the deadline. If I think this team can theoretically win a championship I will keep him. If not, I will likely trade him at the deadline and get something in return. I wish you could do sign and trades in the summer like real life. |

| Jazz Go 1-1 on Monday1 human loss, 1 cpu winMo Williams had it going against the Kings Monday afternoon. The Jazz defeated the Kings by a wide margin in the morning. Royce White had another trip dub in the effort, including a season high 17 rebounds. Mo Williams added 16 pts to the effort to pace the Jazz. In the afternoon the Jazz went on the road and lost to Houston by double figures. By far the biggest defeat the Jazz have suffered this season. The Rockets were sharp and executed well on offense. Utah never seemed to have sustained answers for their offense and it cost them in the end. Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by EA SPORTSWe've really played well against the cpu lately after a rough start to the season. Royce has done a tremendous job and has really developed into a leader for us. The Rockets game was a tough one for us. Every time we got the game even it seemed like Houston would go on a run and pull away again. That's the best team we've played all season by a long shot. |
