Well folks, welcome to another year of online association. I can't believe it's that time of year again but here we are on the eve of opening night. This year I've decided to take on a true rebuilding project in the Philadelphia 76ers. Although it will be a challenge, it will also be a fun process to have the resources and freedom to make moves at my leisure.
Nerlens Noel is excited to get his NBA career underway. His status for opening night is uncertain due to his knee surgery recovery.
Michael Carter Williams is the early favorite to win the starting PG job
Royce White is looking to build off his strong campaign on 2k13. He's expected to be the starting PF
Evan Turner is the captain and leader of this young 76ers team. He's entering the final year of his contract.
Projected starters as of Friday,October 4th PG: Michael Carter Williams SG: Jason Richardson SF: Evan Turner PF: Royce White C: Spencer Hawes

^That soundbite had to be shared somewhere. I didn't know what to do with the video tbh. Didn't turn out how I wanted but who cares in the end. Hard to make a real good video when half my key players are rookies or social degenerates (Royce)

I'm interested in Thad. Hows his shot this year still takes 5 minutes to release the ball?

His release is better. I've only played 1 exhibition game with the Sixers and it was 3 minute quarters.
Dat preparation
The draft is HORRIBLE lol
What a damn joke. I already sent 3 scouts out. Not sure why tbh. There's no Andrew Wiggins in this draft. Two guys from Puerto Rico projected to go in the lottery. GTFO 2k.

The team is so deep I forget who I've got, just remembered JO is on the roster, so is Toney Douglas, not to mention DPOY Draymond Greene. FFS I have no need to trade, that ain't fun.

Sixers Victorious in Season Opener A balanced effort led the Sixers to a human win at Sacramento
The 76ers took the floor at Arco Arena (Sleep Train Arena, smh) and left with a resounding win by a score of 71-46. The win gives the young Sixers some confidence and an all important human win. Philly had 5 players score 8 or more points in the effort. John Salmons led the Kings with 13 pts and 6 rebs.
Rookie Nerlens Noel rises for a layup against DeMarcus Cousins
Noticed that Mike James took no time to decide and sign with Philly. First Hinkie did a favor to Houston and took Royce, and now you do the same with Dallas. Oh those shady connections, Prokhorov envies you.

lol, I had nothing to do with Mike James being on the roster. He just showed up on there without me signing him. I think it's because Philly only had 11 players on the roster and since you technically need 12 they just used him to fill my roster up. I don't think free agents can make decisions until after the league becomes unpaused and advanced again because I'm still able to withdraw offers to my FA targets currently and usually you can't do that.
SixersLoseSixersLose
Knicks and lag too much for 76ers as the game DC towards the end of the 1st half with the Knicks holding a comfortable 8 point lead. Since for some reason Justin and Bryan ALWAYS have major lag issues the game was conceded to the Knicks user and the two titans of the basketball world will try again later in the season for game #2 of the season series.
Injury update:
Michael Carter Williams was hurt in the simulation vs NYK and is expected to miss the next game. Nerlens Noel hasn't experience any set backs since his return Royce White is day to day

Honestly, Noel is the truth. He has virtually no offense but he's solid everywhere else. His rebounding is so dominant that he can get 2-3 put backs per game no problem.
I love that young man. Noel, Royce, ET, MCW

CPU Suns Down Sixers in Home Opener
The home opener for the young Sixers was pissed on by the surging CPU Phoenix Suns as they prevailed by 9 points this afternoon. The game was back and forth for most of the game but the Suns took control with a strong 3rd quarter. The Sixers fought back and cut the lead to 1 possession on a few occasions but couldn't get over the hump. The Sixers had a balanced scoring effort once again. The Suns were led by Caron Butler with 21 points.
Coach Bryan frustrated by his team and how shitty defense is on 2k14
Coach Bryan post game comments, sponsored by Rip It Energy Drink
I'm disappointed in this outcome, obviously. It's clear we need access to free agent signings before we go on any further so we won't be playing anymore games until that happens. It also hurt to have MCW miss the game with his wrist injury. Our kids played hard and plenty of the stuff we gave up wasn't our fault. I'm evaluating everyone on this team and changes will be made in the coming days. We'll be patient on the trade front but we're eagerly looking.
Philly is 1-2 on the season.

Sixers Lose Pair of Games Sunday
Coach Bryan gives Thad Young instructions against Boston Sunday afternoon
In the afternoon session the Sixers went on the road and face the surging Boston Celtics. The young Sixers played stretches of quality basketball but ultimately fell in the closing minutes by a narrow margin. Coach Bryan elected to try the "hack a Rondo" for the final 90 seconds but Rajon Rondo stepped up and hit a good percentage of the shots. The point guard position really let down the team in this one with Mike James and Michael Carter Williams combining to go 0-9 FGs and 3 assists. Spencer Hawes recorded a double-double in the losing effort.
In the night cap the Sixers traveled to Detroit rock city to face the new look Pistons. Philly played reasonable but team defense was awful and the Pistons prevailed in the end by a score of 87-81. Evan Turner was strong but the story of the game was the bounce back performance from rookie PG MCW who recorded his first career double-double of 13 pts and 11 asts, despite favoring his left wrist that kept him out of the Suns game yesterday.
Coach Bryan comments, sponsored by Rip It Energy Drink Losing is a tough thing to deal with. Nobody likes it but given our current situation it's not unexpected. I was proud of MCW for his performance against the Pistons. Took a lot of courage to come back strong after the way Rondo torched him. Evan and Thad have been good for us all year and Hawes is coming around lately. The league standings don't show it but we're improving.
The 76ers are 1-4 on the season.

Sixers Lose 5th Straight
Michael Carter Williams is doing his best despite being a rookie and playing injured
Philly dropped their 5th straight game of the season and fell to 1-5 overall after losing to the Celtics again. Boston led through out most of the game and won 60-54. The 76ers had their worst shooting performance of the year and ET in particular struggled. Thad Young was injured late in the 2nd quarter and is out indefinitely with an undisclosed injury. Media reports claim he'll miss 2-3 games, which is a huge blow for a team who doesn't have many play makers.
Coach Bryan comments following the Boston game Monday
Looks like we'll be without Thad Young for a couple games. Huge loss considering his ability to play the 3 and the 4 effectively. The final score against Boston was closer than the game really was. They pretty dominated and locked our perimeter offense down. Our defense on the other hand can't stop anybody. People off the ball seem distracted or unwilling to guard. Very disappointing.
News and Notes:
Nerlens Noel replaced Royce White in the starting lineup Monday against Boston. Evan Turner was 2-11 FGs, the first time this season he was below 45 FG percent Spence Hawes recorded his third straight double figure scoring game Michael Carter Williams has a full bill of health for the first time since the opener
Philly is 1-5 on the season

Report: Sixers to Acquire MarShon Brooks from Boston
CSNPhilly was the first to report the trade between the Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers that would send the Sixers 2015 First round draft pick to Boston for the rights to guard MarShon Brooks. This trade enables Philly to keep their likely top draft pick in the 2014 draft, while acquiring young talent still on a rookie contract. Brooks has a team option on his contract next year worth 2.3 million that is expected to be picked up. MarShon Brooks fell out of favor in Boston with the great play of Jordan Crawford and Courtney Lee.
