3 players released from your preseason roster can be assigned to your D-League team afterwards. I'm pretty sure they signed him to a non-guaranteed deal, only to waive him a few days later. Or he gets a partially guaranteed deal, makes the team and spends the rest of the season in D-League, same shit.

NBA is extremely tough to make unless you're a 1st round pick ffs. Almost everyone on the roster is on a guaranteed contract so you can't exactly just cut someone to make room like in the NFL.

I hope Royce White goes to the DLeague and gets another shot. I also hope he becomes less obese at some juncture.

NBA opening night tomorrow. Not sure who to root for in Heat v Bulls tilt. I was watching replay of Nets v Heat preseason on NBATV this morning and found myself rooting against the Heat again.
