someone actually wants to play with the Thunder(Miles - LAC user). If you're actually serious about attempting to trade all 3 of them, then I suggest picking another team that you really want to play with besides Lakers/Sixers. Just because Thunder is the next best available team, doesn't mean you have to choose them. Have fun with a team you think you can do good with its original players. I know its association, and you can do whatever you want blah blah, but I'm just saying.

I'm jusayin bro, there's no point in picking Thunder if you don't wanna play with Durant/Westbrook. I know Lakers is your team and Bynum is your fave, but there has to be another team whose players you like. But whatever floats your boat. Would you trade Durant for Rashard Lewis?

The Broski makes valid points, but the player limit is there to draw the line that otherwise would be hard to draw. Without the limit its possible to make good approved trades one after another after another and in the meantime completely "fuck up" the original roster.

Look it this way:
S1 - 3 players limit
Draft - 2 (or how many picks you have) players in, not counting against the limit above
S2 - as soon as the draft ends and July market opens you get the ability to trade 4 new player before hitting the S2 limit.

So by the November start of Season 2 you could have 9 new players on your/off your team. That's pretty flexible IMO. If 9 players aren't enough to change a team from S1 start to S2 start then nothing is.

The limit is also there to force the player think before trading -"Do I really need to trade my 4th string PG AJ Price for Jamal Magloire, or should I save the spot for later where I might trade for a real impactful player that could make the difference?"

If you're going to trade Durant/Westbrook rigth away, than I suggest you to pick another team, because if you don't like em, why even picking them? Pacers are a fun team too, Grizzlies, Trailblazers, Kings...

The Thunder are by far the best team on the board and you want me to give them up ? Especially the GM with easy cheesy Miami telling me to give them up.

What's the problem with trading ? If there's a problem with trading we should just use default and allow no trades if that's the case. You can't have it both ways.

I'm not here to sabotage your league either if you all want me to take a low level team then I will. You know I've never had an elite team in any sim league, always the dregs.

BTW if you've won championships in these leagues and you take one of the elite teams, what does that say about you? How about you take on a challenge. You think your good ? Prove it, win with a lesser team.

Nobody told you to leave the Thunder, the only question is, do you like them? If you like them, sure take em. It's ok.

Man, I won it all with New Orleans here, that's no problem, Vince won with the Cavs. He took the Heat because he loves LeBron and I took the Celtics because I love them, my favorite team, is that something wrong? If anyone takes challenges it is me.

I just said if you don't like em don't take em, nothing rude or anything.

So you can have the Thunder, no problem. But if you're taking them and instantly trading Durant, that's dumb. We try to mimic real life here. I took the Celtics and I won't trade Rondo, neither Vince will trade LeBron, you know why? Because in real life no GM would trade Durant or LeBron or Rondo as soon as they got the GM seat, well no GM with a brain (and we like those teams and players). If you wanna screwed up franchise, then use the Kings, if you want fun and compete for a championship use the Thunder.

So, there is no problem if you wanna use the Thunder, it ain't about winning and losing an argument, it's about compromise here and it ain't no problem with trading, you can trade here, that's no problem, but the trades need to have some thought and mind put in, because trading (FOR EXAMPLE, this isn't what I think you'll do I'm just saying it what if or something) Durant for LeBron just isn't realistic or Westbrook for Parker, because these teams wouldn't do it irl. ONLY if RW is really bad for your style and it doesn't fit to your style.

Here we go....

Take whoever you like, but if you don't like trade rules might as well quit now, coz we're/I'm strict when it comes to that.

Trade rules are here to stay, and if you plan to trade away their 3 best players then either pick another team or don't play at all. We are way past that bitching trade BS, that case is closed. Rules are linked above.

MoultonHawk seems like a good dude. Don't take it personal that we kind of jumped on you about the OKC trade stuff. It's been a dramatic topic around here in the past. If you want to take OKC and trade RW that would probably work but trading both won't fly. Nobody would blame you for seeking a trade for RW. It's probably not possible to trade KD and completely unsim anyway.

I would choose another team. No big deal, etc. This OA isn't all that competitive.The vast majority of us value fun over winning. I wouldn't worry about that. Ante (Boston) is one of the few try hards we have. Believe me, I had the same convo with him about taking Boston as you just expressed above.

The trade rules are here to stay because they've proven to work and make the OA experience better. There's plenty of good options out there besides OKC.
