Game Recaps tonight, but let's just celebrate for this:

Entry No.1, The Dark Night Rises

The Celtics entered the season with two wins and then 3 losses in a row came. They've beaten the CPU Cats (71-56) and CPU Blazers (83-66) really easy and we shouldn't even discuss that since that isn't the problem right now. The problem is executing in clutch situations. The Celtics lost to the Nuggets, Knicks and Rockets in really close situations and they literally choked.

What where the problems in these games? Let's see:

Nuggets:
1. Too many turnovers
2. Running with the Nuggets = failure
3. We still were close in that game and we were leading for a big period in the game and lost 95-87 because of the lack in execution
4. Wilson Chandler 27 pts on 14 shots , Lawson 19, some clutch shots and Faried and McGee combine 10/10 from the field, awful defense, Terry had 24pts on 15FGA, Pierce 20 on 14FGA, Rondo 12 and 8, KG only 10 pts on 8 FGA

Knicks (following a big win in the Garden against the Heat, they've beaten the Celtics in a close game too):
1. We lead for the whole game and we really can't nitpick on any statistical category, it was a typical chokejob
2. Poor execution in the last minute, the biggest lead was 12 for the Celtics in the 2nd quarter
3. Lost 71-74, Carmelo gamewinner, Carmelo had 25 on only 17 shots, Kidd had 14 and 10
4. Pierce 18, Terry 12, KG 13, Rondo 10, 7ast and 6to

Rockets:
1. Biggest lead 12, two time 10+ lead
2. Poor defense in the clutch
3. Great defense until the 4th quarter on White and co.
4. KG didn't get enough touches resulting in a OT loss 79-75

So, all in all this team plays great for 3 quarters, sometimes 3 and a half quarters. So what's the problem? Coach AnteRiversBall begining to feel the pressure? Can that be possible for a 4 time champ? Since the Season Preview put him to win it all. We don't think so, maybe it's just the lack of patience and lack of knowing who to trust in the clutch situations and lacking the will and the tryhardness to blow out people in the 2nd quarter. Rumors swirled around after Saturday night. Will coach Ante survive this season? Drama in Boston with only 5 games into the season. This can develop into two scenarios, first a disaster season, blowing up the whole team or a championship. Yes it's championship or bust coach, wake up, Boston needs ya, unleash the Celtics pride, stop being a nice guy, which you are not, everyone knows that, you were always the villain of the league, stop acting like this nice guy.



Entry No.2, The Sun Rises High

After a good night sleep and a new day, as one saying says: „After every dark night, there is a bright day after that.“
So what we mean by that? Coach Ante is came back to the drawing board and started to give his team the motivation needed to come back from ground zero. Two games: at CPU Wizards and at Nuggets.

Against the Wizards the all around game was shown by the Celtics as Rondo posted 15 assists, Pierce had an amazing 26 points on only 15 shots and Terry added 17 and KG added 15 and 7 rebounds, Bass had also 7 rebounds with 14 points. The Wizards had Beal and Wall on 14 pts. Celtics embaras them in front of Barack Obama in the stands with a final result 86-63.

Against the Nuggets, the game which the coach said was important to win because of the morale of the team and t seemed like the Celtics went on a rampage. The ball flowed so well (throughout the whole game 20 ast 64% 3P and 58% FG with great perimeter D, Nuggets only 28% from three) 28-18 first quarter, Paul Pierce 6/7 from the field right from the get go. And they maintained the lead throughout the whole game and showed the Nuggets that the first game wasn't right. So in the third quarter the lead went up to 22 points. Paul Pierce played like the TRUTH, stat line: 32pts 3reb 3ast 2stl 13/16 from the field 6/7 from the arc and he defended Igoudala 5pts 2/9. Simply Amazing. Jeff Green was inserted at the SF in the starting line up so he neutralizes Chandler because of the matchup problems with Iggy and Bradley/Terry caused. It worked through perfection, 17 points for Green and 3 key steals and 1 block on Chandler. Rondo had and efficient game 8pts 5rebs 7asts 1stl. 83-72 win, C's.

To wrap up Entry 2, the Celtics are clicking already after 3 heartbreaking losses. They're a veteran team mixed with some veterans and clicking doesn't seem like a problem and we can already see improvements since Entry 1. The talk about coach being fired etc. Are going mute. The fans loved what they saw in these two games. Let's just hope this brings a some kind of a winning streak because a 4-3 record isn't really looking great on the standings.

Entry No.3, The Mind State of a Winner

Sometimes in life you had ups, you had downs, sometimes you really don’t know what to do when things go bad, sometimes you just go back and go by your instincts and try to survive. Also you don't know if you're you going to succeed, many things go through your mind. That's how the coach of the Celtics felt. The team struggled out of the gate, but established a 4 game winning streak and improved their 4th quarter offense. Yet again a thing popped to many people moments ago when they played in Miami. It was all over again, but this time bigger. A 17 point lead, midway through the 3rd quarter. Gone in the last 47 seconds as LeBron James nailed a corner three.

In some situations the Heat panicked, didn't know what to do, they looked like chickens with no heads. The Celtics were outplaying them for full 3 quarters. And then they spilled it all in the 4th quarter. GONE. After some amazing plays in that game it just stopped in the 4th quarter, 6 turnovers, just isn't acceptable. Rondo, Pierce, KG played great and all that, but all of them had some lousy turnovers in the 4th. But we must calm down, it's only a season game, the team is playing great, really great and any other team in this league would've lost to the Celtics after that performance. 35 points given up in the 1st half, 51 in the 2nd half, 30 in the 4th quarter. As the coach said after the game: "I take all the blame, I sit the starters too much and this MUST be a learning experience for the games to come."

Prety good words, so before this loss, the Celtics blew out the Nets at the Garden and the Sixers in Philly with some impressive play. So the 4 game winning streak is history. We all move on. The rough schedule is gone. Next games:

Genuine emotion at that. Keep grinding. This OA is filled with so many ups and downs. Some days I feel like I can beat anybody and some days I feel like I might never beat a human coach ever again.

Boston will be fine. These minor set backs are probably better for the long term.

GG, my team lacks finishers, missed a few great shots in the 4th.

After some ups and downs for this great franchise, the road for #banner18 is on track. Yes the air feels so refreshing, it's a new day, everything is new, we have a new 8 game winning streak, we also have a new player called Reggie Evans, who was inserted into the starting lineup against the Lakers and he contributed. Stats don't show it, but he stopped Pau Gasol. But back to the streak, teams beaten are:

STB Oklahoma City, Crax Golden State, CPU Cleveland, mulac Minnesota , CPU Bobcats, CPU Hawks, Sukan Toronto, Paul Los Angeles Lakers. 5 human coaches, 3 cpu. Only 1 game ended by single digits and it was in the Bay area. 4 road wins, 7 double digit wins. Not bad huh?

So in these games Rajon Rondo averaged 12.4 ppg and 13.7 apg 3.9 rpg and 3.2 spg, impressive? How about Kevin Garnett 17ppg 7rpg shooting 77% from the field. Paul Pierce not shabby either with 15ppg shooting over 50% from the field. The key guy from the bench was Jeff Green. Having multiple double digit games, same goes for Jason Terry.

Most impressive win of the entry was in LA. Two longtime rival coaches greeted each other very warm and went right to battle. It was a close game most of the time. But the Celtics never trailed in the game and the finally broke through with a 10 point lead going into the 4th quarter and maintaining the lead in the 4th and beating the Lakers by 11 points. Steve Nash was a non factor and so was Pau Gasol. Dwight and Kobe were Dwight and Kobe. Only 3 Lakers in double digits, the third one, well you would never guess, Jordan Hill. The Celtics had great contribution from Rajon Rondo 12 pts 10ast 3rebs and 2stls, KG was 7/8 from the field and he had 17, Paul Pierce added 15, Jeff Green had 12, Terry had 10 and Bradley had 9 points.

Another road win was in the BAY AREA, visting the GS Craxiors. The game had many lead changes and finally Celtics going up usually at the end of the 3rd quarter by 11 points. But the Craxiors were more resilient than the Lakers and they came back and put the game in balance. Celtics up by only 2, 40 seconds left. Rondo calls a play for KG on the low post. And guess what, the old veteran delivers.

Celtics have a fairly easy schedule now before playing the Bulls and the Rockets.

Coach said: "We showed that we can play at the elite level as soon as we lost to the Heat in Miami, because it was in strange fashion and we won in LA against the best coach in ISBA by double digits, so do I think we're elite, yes. We have the mindstate of a winner, we just have to keep our mind to it."

Entry No.5 (17-7 record, 3 sim losses so far), Winning Builds Character, Character Brings Intensity, Intensity Brings Defense, Defense Brings Championships...

Here we are again, the Celtics were 6-5 in entry no.1. and until entry no.5 they came a long way. ELEVEN game (in games they played) winning streak, the longest streak alive in ISBA (not counting the 2 sim losses). So team beaten in this streak? Lakers twice, Oklahoma, Miami, Golden State, Minnesota, Raptors, Bucks, Hawks, Bobcats, Cavs. Impressive? How about beating two contending teams and a hot Golden State and Minnesota team (who beat Miami and also some good teams in ISBA). In this 11 game win streak there were only 4 cpu wins. Impressive? How about all of these all games only 3 (Miami, LA, GS) were in single digits. Eight of them were double digits (LA, Cats, Cavs, Bucks, Hawks, Minnesota, OKC, Toronto).

So the reason we're posting an entry which had three games is because against the Bucks which are a solid cpu team (Monta Ellis dropped 33), but Reggie Evans had 18 pts 9 rebs and was 8/8 from the field. It wasn't a blowout until the 4th quarter when the Celtics was up by 8 and suddenly turn on the motor and won by 20.

And then we come to the most important part of this entry. First game was against the Lakers in Boston. The best rivalry in ISBA since the 2K10 M$ finals. Boston started slow. Then the Jet came of the bench and scored 19 points in the 1st half. The Lakers ridden by Kobe and Dwight Howard played exceptionally well. The game was in balance, the Celtics were up by 2-5 most of the game. Now we're coming into the last 3-4 minutes of the 4th quarter were the Lakers cut the lead down to 2. Celtics can't make a shot to save their lives. Howard is trying to post up, he can't miss a close shot, his post drives are unstoppable and the Celtics double team, Howard passes it out to Nash, Nash tries to shoot a three and out of nowhere Rajon Rondo came to block his attempt and he recovers the ball, starts the break, gives it to Pierce for the layup. Boston up by 4. After that play the Celtics knew they can win the game. Last play 20 seconds left. Kobe has the ball. Celtics up by 2 only, he just made a shot to cut the lead down to 2. Avery Bradley defends him greatly Kobe passes to Nash, Nash clanks the mid range shot. Ball game, Celtics win it 80-78, sweep the season series, #BEATLA chants all over the Garden.

Thursday NBA ON TNT

After the game the Celtics waited for the Heat to come to Beantown after they beat the Lakers 84-74 in South Beach.
The atmosphere rocking, the Jungle (Garden) is rocking, KG prepared for a bar fight, the Heat start slow in a playoff atmosphere. KG scored 8 in the 1st quarter, Rajon Rondo had 6 assists in the 1st quarter and 2 steals. Celtcs up by 10, first quarter, the Heat start slow again. Of course, they come back by DWade and Ray Allen running the show. The Jet struggling with his shot. The Heat lead by 1 on HT. The Celtics have foul problems, Pierce has 4 fouls at the start of the 3rd quarter because of LeBron James. But Jeff Green comes in and plays his ahole on defense to guard LeBron. Rajon Rondo is playing his most mature game in his career. 9pts 13ast (zero turnovers) 4rebs 2stls 50% FG and a key block again on Mario Chalmers which lead to a Avery Bradley dunk. Connecting alley oops with Reggie Evans who scored 10 pts. Pierce only had 9pts, Terry had 11pts. But Kevin Garnett was the MAN this game. The Heat had no answers. 19pts 5rebs shooting above 60% from the field. Making tough and ones. Double teamed in the 4th quarter and he delivered some nice passes. The lead changes were very often. The game was intense and in the 4th quarter the defenses were playoff like. Very little baskets, a lot of offensive rebounds but no buckets. The Celtics are for the first time down in the 4th quarter in the last 40 seconds, it felt like the first game in Miami. But, Rondo and KG ran a perfect pick and roll. KG got the ball, the Heat thought he will shoot, but he passed it to a wide open Jeff Green who hit an open mid range shot. Celtics up by 1. Timeout Heat. 20 seconds left, the Heat ran a play for Ray Allen, LeBron James passes it off to Ray, Ray seems open, but Kevin Garnett comes out of nowhere just like Rondo on Nash against the Lakers and blocks the potential game winning three. The Celtics recover the ball, Avery Bradley fouled, knocks down two clutch free throws. No timeouts left. Ball game Celtics, win by 3, extend win streak and most importantly, make a BIG statement in ISBA.

Coach said: "It's tough, it's hard, it's from the heart, it's grit and grind, it's called defense y'all."

It's called defense y'all, remember those words.
