Celtics at Heat

Many people gave the Celtics no chances of beating the no.1 contender to win the championship the Heat in Miami where they literally kill their opponents.

But the Celtics started off great, especially on defense, they only gave up 31 pts in the half and scored 42. Shooting over 60%. Rondo orchestrated the offense with 6 assists at the half and 9 points. Humphries hit two mid range shots and Green and Bradley (2 threes) had 6 points.


For the Heat the 2nd half started even worse, the Celtics were leading by 14. Coach Vince called a timeour to gather his group and after the timeout they went on a 21-7 run. They started to play old Heat basketball, force turnovers, run and dunk and shoot 3’s. Sometimes coach Ante just went “wow” it was really special to see how they perform on the court. LeBron started to hit contested threes and hitting Ray Allen open in the corner.

4th quarter the Heat lead by 2.  Jordan Crawford is guarder really good by Ray Allen. Crawford is trying to trash talk but he fails miserably against the old veteran.  Coach Ante makes a decision to put Gerald Wallace on LeBron and then the good old intense grudge match begins, typical for these two coaches, the lead swerves to one team then to the other team. The Heat go up by 3 by a Ray Allen three with 1:29 left.

The Celtics go to the post  with Battier guarding Green with an obvious mismatch. Green makes a hook shot, the C’s defend next possession as Gerald Wallace steals the ball and he finishes at the other end. LeBron goes into G.O.D mode and finishes two impossible layups in traffic, Green hits a midrange jumpshot, the Celtics lead by 1, the ball goes to LeBron, isolated on the right wing, he steps back and shoots a tough, tough midrange shot that swishes throught the net.

Celtics don’t call timeout, they inbound, call a post play for Green and Vince switches Bosh on Green which is a great adjustment and Green gets the ball from Rondo, Green uses his speed and he turns, blows past by Bosh, Oden helps, he pumpfakes him and scores the layup with 10.8 second left on the clock. Boston UP BY 1!

The Heat rush it, don’t call timeout, they get a good look, Bosh mid range jumper, not really open, but a shot that Bosh hits, he clanks it, Sully rebounds it, ball game.

The broken game play favors your style greatly. You'll be very difficult to beat but since it's 1 and done playoffs until the Finals nothing is for certain.

The team is right in the middle with quality, but the defensive pressure that you can make with Rondo and Bradley, Wallace, Green, Lee is ridiculous, I mean I execute three quarters through perfection and then just a black hole comes in because the team doesn't have the consistency...

CPU Trail Blazers beaten in OT 70-67  

A game full of lead changes, scuffles and techincals. Coach Ante Stevens got a techical after Joey Crawford called some questionable calls in the favor of the Blazers when the game was coming down to the wire and the Celtics built up their biggest lead which was 7 points. The Blazers get it even after some Celtics missed free throws and Wes and Lamarcus heroics.

In OT Rajon Rondo unleashes his deadly mid range jumper and hits them in a fashion which Isiah Thomas would be proud. Bradley hits a three and Green and the lead is up to 7. The Celtics again get the lead to 7, miss ft's the Blazers cut the lead to 3. They have a shot to make it to double overtime but Wes misses it, ball game.
